Sudanese held in Bengaluru for rash driving

Chikkajala traffic police have registered a case and investigations are underway.

Bengaluru: The Chikkajala traffic police have booked a student hailing from Sudan for rash and negligent driving after his bike rammed into another bike and one person got injured in Hegde Nagar on Monday.

Police said the Sudanese student, Abdul Gunny, of Karnataka College in Hegde Nagar and his college mate Mohammad Saleem were going in a bike. Abdul was riding in a rash manner and when they reached near Regal Theatre he rammed his bike, in which a couple was riding, into another one from behind.

The incident happened around 6.30 pm and the rider of the other bike, Raju Arasu, fell down and sustained head injuries. However his wife escaped with minor injuries. Raju was later admitted to M.S. Ramaiah Hospital for treatment, the police added.

Chikkajala traffic police have registered a case and investigations are underway.
