Hyderabad: Property worth Rs 40,000, including a sewing machine and some gold, was stolen from a house at KPHB Phase III. The complainant, Anjum Begum, told police that the burglary took place during intervening night of Sunday and Monday. Police registered a case of theft and is probing.
Anjum Begum, a resident of KPHB Colony, on Monday lodged a complaint with the police stating that some unidentified persons broke open the main door lock of her house and gained entry during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, and stole a gold chain weighing one tola, gold bangles weighing two tolas, a sewing machine and some cash, kept in an almirah, all worth about Rs 40,000.
The KPHB police said that a theft case has been registered and teams are verifying the CC camera footage in the area to identify the suspects.
