HYDERABAD: Filmnagar cops investigating the alleged kidnap of a teenager by his friend found the duo partying together on Monday night.
Police said that at about 10.30 pm on Monday, they received an SOS call from an elderly person from Samatha Colony in Tolichowki, stating that his teenage son had been kidnapped.
Filmnagar cops collected the details of the teen and his friend and started a search for them. Based on the phone number of the teen’s friend, police traced their location near Gandipet and deputed teams to find them.
When the police reached the location, they found the teen and his friend having biryani and liquor and took them to the police station. After questioning them, police said the teen was reluctant to study and spend more time with his friends. Upset with this, his father made the call to the police without considering the consequences.
Filmnagar station house officer M.G.R. Rama Krishna police counselled the duo and let them off. “We told them that strict action would be taken if such incidents were repeated,” he added.
