Bengaluru techie kills father, hacks wife to death

The couple fought over the issue frequently

Bengaluru: A Bengaluru techie hacked his wife to death suspecting her fidelity and later killed his own father who intervened in the fight between him and his wife at their residence in Kottagere in Tumakuru district on Wednesday. He later surrendered before the police.

The accused, Narayanaswamy, allegedly killed his wife Sowmya (25) and his father Heeranna (70). Narayanaswamy, who worked in a private software company, and Sowmya, both relatives, married five years ago and stayed in a rented house in Nelamangala. Everything was fine initially, but of late, Narayanaswamy started harassing and assaulting Sowmya suspecting that she had an illicit affair.

The couple fought over the issue frequently. One day after the fight turned violent, Narayanaswamy decided to get rid of Sowmya. He hatched a plan to kill her and took her to his house in Kottagere. The couple again fought there and as per plan, Narayanaswamy brutally attacked Sowmya with a machete, killing her on the spot.

Narayanaswamy’s father Heeranna intervened telling his son not to attack his daughter-in-law, but he attacked Heeranna too. Later, Narayanaswamy went to Sira police station and surrendered himself. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
