Telangana: 108 ambulance hits lorry, patient dies
A critically ill woman on her way to hospital in an ambulance died.
Hyderabad: A critically ill woman on her way to hospital in an ambulance died when the 108 vehicle crashed into a lorry in front of it near Kurnool on Tuesday. Fifty-year-old Shalibi of Sherpally village was undergoing treatment at Alampur hospital when her condition worsened and doctors advised her family to take her to a hospital in Kurnool for emergency treatment. On the outskirts of Kurnool, the 108 ambulance in which she was being taken crashed into a lorry. While Shalibi died on the spot, the 108 staff, including the driver, and relatives of the woman suffered injured. They were taken to Kurnool government hospital for treatment.
