Angry woman from Balapur village kills daughter for not obeying her
Hyderabad: A case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registered against a woman for slamming her daughter to death. The 27-year-old mother, Farzana Azam, of Balapur village, was angry at her eight-year-old daughter for not obeying her and banged her head against a wall. Firdouse Fathima fell unconscious and was declared brought dead to the hospital.
According to police, Farzana was married to Yousuf Patel around nine years ago. The couple had three children, of whom Firdouse Fathima was the eldest.
Three years ago, Farzana and Yousuf separated and the woman married Syed Azam, a painter.
Farzana and Azam had two children of their own and the five children and the couple lived in Shaheen Nagar in Balapur village.
Farzana was often angry with Fathima for not obeying her and beat the child frequently. Matters got worse in the last two months.
On Tuesday, when Fathima did not obey her mother, Farzana, in a fit of rage, beat her severely and banged her head against a wall.
“They rushed the child to Barkas hospital, but doctors at the facility declared her brought dead. The child had sustained severe injury on the head and multiple injuries on other parts of her body,” said Balapur Police Inspector S Mohan Reddy.
