Hyderabad: A day after a man from Kerala was booked for throwing acid at a staff nurse for rejecting him, a 25-year-old banana seller from Secunderabad stabbed an 18-year-old girl under the jaw for refusing to go out with him. According to the victim, Abdul Samad has been following and harassing her for a couple of days. The girl, E. Madhavi alias Madhu, approached Market police and they registered an attempt to murder case.
“On Thursday night, while walking with friend Uma near Ghasmandi, Samad approached them and asked Madhu to go with him. She abused and he stabbed her,” the official said.
A search team has been deployed by the Market Police to hunt down the absconding man and the duty doctors at Gandhi Hospital said that the girl’s condition was stable.
