Hyderabad: Little Elly play school at Film Nagar gets rapped by the deputy educational officer, Khairatabad, for having no fire safety equipment, no permission from GHMC or traffic personnel.
The complaint regarding the school was filed by a parent who stated that the school’s callousness can prove to be harmful for the students.
The DEO was also reprimanded for not conducting yearly inspections of the school.
The inspection on Little Elly school led to notices being served to many play schools in Khairatabad for not running establishments without required permissions.
GHMC, traffic police and the fire department have also been asked to submit their report for the not conducting regular inspections. Schools running without licenses will have to pay a fine that could extend till '50,000 and the management will also have to serve a jail term of six months to three years.
Little Elly school will be shut down due to its un-recognised status and the department has assured parents of Class V students of the school that they will be relocated to another school in the new academic year.
