Bengaluru: Three arrested for vehicle thefts

The police had formed a special team to nab the culprits.

BENGALURU: The Konanakunte police have arrested three people who were involved in vehicle robbery and recovered 20 stolen vehicles, including two autorickshaws and a car.

The accused have been identified as Prashanth, 19, a resident of K.R. Market, Pramodh M, 19, a resident of Kothanur and Abhishek alias Abhi, 22, a resident of Anekal Taluk.

After receiving several complaints of two-wheelers being stolen in Puttenahalli and Konanakunte police station limits, the police had formed a special team to nab the culprits.

Based on a tip off, the police arrested the three and recovered 20 stolen vehicles worth Rs 10.76 lakh. The police said that action will also be taken against the buyers or receivers of stolen vehicles. With this arrest the police have solved 20 cases in Konanakunte, Puttenahalli, Mico Layout and Byatarayanapura police station limits.
