Hyderabad: A youth, Shanti Swaroop, working with a corporate communication firm, was injured when a speeding car hit his scooter on the Minister Road in the city on Sunday morning. The car entered the main road from a bylane and rammed into the scooter, leaving it badly damaged and the rider injured. When Swaroop tried to question the car driver, a woman, she attempted to run over him and sped from the place, he said.
He immediately lodged a complaint with the Ramgopalpet police station, following which a probe was initiated.
A resident of Quthbullapur in the city, Swaroop was going towards Ranigunj on his Honda Activa. Enroute, he noticed a car entering the main road at a high speed which rammed into his scooter, throwing him off the vehicle.
As Swaroop collected himself and went towards the car, a man got down from the vehicle and yelled at him. Further, as the woman gestured the man in, he entered the vehicle and then they tried to run over their car on the youth, which he escaped and the car disappeared at the same speed.
Swaroop was taken to a private hospital where he was treated for bleeding injuries on his left leg. Police said they are trying to identify the car involved in the accident.
