Chennai: FIR filed for slander against Madras HC Chief Justice on Facebook

The FIR was filed based on a complaint by a senior government advocate.
Together with an existing office in Berlin, Facebook will have more than 1,200 people reviewing posts in Germany by the end of the year.
CHENNAI: Police on Thursday registered an FIR against unknown persons for allegedly posting derogatory comments against Madras high court Chief Justice Indira Banerjee on the social networking site Facebook.
The yet to be identified persons had posted derogatory comments against the Chief Justice following her orders on the ongoing transport union strike in the state.
The FIR was filed based on a complaint by a senior government advocate. High court police have registered a case and are investigating.
