Hyderabad: Drunken driving is fast catching up with city women as young women professionals are becoming frequent visitors to pubs and bars. Women today live in an open society and there are many avenues to socialise for them. Besides, the money factor is also playing a role as most of them are working professionals. Due to these, drunken driving among women is on the rise, psychologists said. Vinod Kumar Kanumala, a road safety expert, added, “It is unfortunate that the pub culture is catching up among young women professionals in the metro cities. After a week’s toil, they look for recreational activities.”
