Telangana: Car rams into divider, two dead, three hurt
Hyderabad: Two persons were killed and three others injured as the vehicle in which they were travelling turned turtle after ramming into a road divider at ORR on Thursday night under the Dundigal police station limits. The victims were returning to the city from Bidar when the car dashed a divider due to high speed. Two persons breathed their last on the spot.
The victims were identified as Syed Saleem, 28, from Hassan Nagar and Abdul Rauf Ansari, 25, a resident of Bahadurpura and the injured were identified as M. Mujeebuddin, a student from Moghalpura, Vaqar and Akram. According to the police, they were returning to the city in high speed when their car, a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, dashed the railing and toppled over the road.
“They were heading to Saleem’s house in Hassan Nagar and upon reaching ORR at around 10:30 pm, Saleem, who was driving the car in a rash and negligent manner, rammed it onto the divider,” said B. Shankaraiah, police inspector of Dundigal, The accident occurred near Mallampet village and a case was booked at the Dundigal police station. The bodies were shifted to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem.
