Hyderabad: An unidentified body of a woman found floating in HMT Grounds lake on Wednesday. The woman, aged around 50 years, was found without any apparent cause of death.
Upon learning about the incident from locals, Jeedimetla police rushed to the sport and fished out the body. Cops circulated the victim’s pictures in the nearby villages for her identification.
The body of the deceased woman is at least two weeks old and was in a decomposed state, the police said. A case of suspicious death has been registered under Section 174 of the CrPC.
After conducting an autopsy at Gandhi Hospital, police preserved the victim's body at the morgue for identification. Further probe is on.
