Woman from Asifabad ‘sold’ in Madhya Pradesh
After two months, it was found that she was taken by brokers and sold in Madhya Pradesh.
KUMARAMBHEEM ASIFABAD: Police has started an investigation into the alleged sale of a married Adivasi woman for Rs 1.5 lakh and the involvement of a police constable.
Sources said the woman went missing from a village in Tiryani mandal and her mother lodged a police complaint in Kumarabheem Asifabad district.
After two months, it was found that she was taken by brokers and sold in Madhya Pradesh. It was found that four persons were involved in the kidnap of the woman and her sale.
Sources said a local police constable had played a key role in the incident but added that investigations were going on.
