Pulsar Suni worried being ditched
Kochi: While the police succeeded in collecting incriminating evidence before effecting arrest of actor Dileep, what made the Special Investigation Team focus on his role in the case is Pulsar Suni, main accused, finally revealing about involvement of “big sharks” in the conspiracy. For much part of the last over four months, Suni constantly changed his statements and refused to admit conspiracy in the case. However, as being revealed in the letter dated April 12, which was written from inside the Kakknad Jail at his behest, Suni was increasingly turning restless over the prominent people ditching him and not paying him the “promised money”.
“You could have deputed a lawyer at least to inquire about my well-being,” the letter read. It further demanded that the “promised money” (Rs 1.25 crore) be handed over in a period of five months and that he had not divulged anything “so far”. The letter quoted Suni as saying he had to ensure that five others arrested along with him in the case were “made safe”. He further wanted the actor to “contact” him somehow in three days of receiving the letter.
Meanwhile sources said the probe found evidence of actor Dileep “giving the quotation”. The cops suspect that the payment of was not made since Suni and his gang had “overdid” and subject the actress to sexual assault. After mentioning about the "big shark" to media, Suni finally is learnt to have spilled the beans and revealed the name of conspirators during a marathon questioning by the cops on Sunday at a secret location.
