Bengaluru: Parking fee row turns violent, one killed
Bengaluru: A fight between a parking ticket collector and a vehicle owner at a cinema hall eventually led to the death of the latter in Bharati Nagar police station limits on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Bharanidharan (36), a resident of Austin Town. The police have arrested the parking ticket collector Selvaraj (50) and another cinema hall staff Shekhar (20) for the murder.
The incident happened around 4:30 pm, when Bharanidharan along with his relative went to the Lavanya theatre on St. John's Road to watch a movie.
According to the police while parking his two-wheeler, Bharanidharan got into an argument with Selvaraj, as the latter was demanding Rs 10 as parking fee.
In a fit of anger Bharanidharan tried to assault Selvaraj, who called up another theatre staff Shekhar. The duo took Bharanidharan inside the theatre and assaulted him.
After receiving a few blows, Bharanidharan fell unconscious and collapsed. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Bharati Nagar police rushed to the spot and arrested the duo. A case has been registered and police have begun investigation.
