Thrissur: Head of the special investigation team Palakkad ASP G Poonguzhali on Monday submitted a request seeking polygraph test of the four accused persons in the Wadakkanchery gang rape case before the Wadakkanchery Magistrate Court.
The court has ordered to issue notice to the accused to get their permission for the test. Lawyer of the victim C R Jaison said that the accused including CPM Wadakkanchery Municipal Councilor P N Jayanthan had earlier sent a request to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan citing that the accused were ready for a polygraph test and the allegation of gang rape was baseless.
