Kerala: Man accused of murdering four nabbed
Thiruvananthapuram: The railway police on Monday evening arrested Cadell Jeansen Raja who allegedly murdered four people, including his parents and sister, at Nanthencode the other day. The suspect had gone absconding soon after the murder. He was caught on CCTV cameras at Thampanoor bus stand earlier.
At 6.45 p.m. on Monday, a railway police official spotted him at the Thiruvananthapuram central station and identified him based on the look-out notice issued by the city police. They recovered a Thiruvananthapuram- Chennai train ticket from his custody. Officials said that he looked disoriented and was not ready to confirm his identity.
He was handed over to a team under DCP Arul R.B. Krishna and Cantonment assistant commissioner K.E. Baiju who interrogated him at an undisclosed location. He had allegedly murdered his father professor Raja Thankam, 60, mother Dr Jean Padma, 58, sister Carol, 25, and relative Anitha Jane. He also set his house on fire before fleeing.
