Bengaluru: Unidentified miscreants broke into the house of a lawyer in Shyampura in D.J. Halli and made away with gold valuables and cash worth Rs 14 lakh.
The police said the complainant, Ramamurthy, along with his family members left to Mulbagal to attend the funeral of their relative on April 5. On April 9, morning their tenants called up Ramamurthy and informed him that some one had broken into their house.
Ramamurthy and his family came back and found that the main door was broken and the police were informed. The miscreants had ransacked the house and stolen Rs 40,000 in cash, gold and silver valuables, totally worth around Rs 14 lakh.
Police said that finger print experts and dog squad were pressed into service and vital clues were obtained. They suspect that someone known to the family had committed the offence. D.J. Halli police have registered a case.
