Kerala actress molestation: Pulsar Suni in custody till March 24
Kochi: A local court on Friday remanded key accused in the actor abduction case — ‘Pulsar’ Suni and Vijesh, to judicial custody till March 24 even as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is learnt to again seek their police custody to probe “missing links” in the case. The police had earlier in the day produced the duo before the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate Court after their custody period got over. The court will consider the bail petition of the accused on Monday.
The SIT is understood to be keen to probe into “missing links” in the case including that of the occupants of two more vehicles caught in CCTV following the actor’s vehicles on the day of the incident on February 17, who provided accommodation to Suni for one day after the crime when he stayed in Kochi and nearby areas and whether he had shared the torture videos with others.
Earlier, the forensic lab test had confirmed that the memory card that Suni had given to his first lawyer contained visuals of the actress, but it was not known whether this was the card in the phone used to take photos and videos of the assault. The photos could have been transferred to this memory card. “We’ll again seek the custody once the forensic test report is out,” a senior police officer said.
