Hyderabad: Suspects flee from cops, held

The trio were earlier arrested in a mobile theft case and were kept in police custody.

Hyderabad: Three suspects who fled from Ghatkesar police station were traced by police at the Bhongir Railway station on Thursday night. The trio were earlier arrested in a mobile theft case and were kept in police custody. Meanwhile police have submitted a detailed inquiry report on the incident to Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh Bhagawat.

Bollu Mahesh, 20, and Utkoori Rohith, 20, were nabbed on Thursday while Padigam Uday was traced on Friday evening. The trio were produced before the court and sent on remand. Mahesh, Uday, Rohith and two others were arrested by Ghatkesar police on Wednesday in a mobile theft case after one Srikanth from Edulabad village was looted of his mobile phone in Aushapur. They were to be produced before the court on Thursday. Since the two lock up rooms were filled with Intermediate and SSC examination question papers, the suspects were made to sit in another chamber. Around 2.30 am, when they wanted to relieve themselves, the constable on watch duty allowed two of them to go out first. When they did not return, the constable sent the third boy to check and he also did not come back.
