Bengaluru: A student from Arunachal Pradesh has been allegedly beaten up and forced to lick his house owner's shoes for using excessive water, a top police official said here on Friday.
“The police are investigating the student's claim that he was forced to lick his house owner’s shoes for using excessive water,” DCP (South East) Dr M.B. Boralingaiagh said.
The house owner has been identified as Hemanth Kumar. A case has been registered following a complaint by Higio Guntey, a fourth-semester student at Christ University, Dr Boralingaiah said.
The incident took place on March 6 and the case was registered on Thursday, he said. Kumar has surrendered and the police are investigating the case, he said.
