Hyderabad: Keralite lab staffer jumps to death
Hyderabad: A 19-year-old lab technician from Kerala committed suicide on Thursday in Ameerpet. Police said T.K. Arunima jumped from the terrace of the multi-storeyed building where she was staying. Police suspects a love affair behind the suicide.
Police said that Arunima, hailing from Ernakulam district, was working at Vijaya Diagnostics since a year. She and a colleague were staying in a penthouse provided by the employer.
On Thursday at around 7 am, she got a call. “Talking on the phone she jumped from the top,” said SI Laxman. Initially, police thought she had slipped while talking on the phone, but later they found a scrawl on the wall saying, “I am alone. I hate you and my life. But I love Jesus.”
“We do not know the reason for her suicide. We talked to her friends but they are clueless,” added Mr Laxman. Meanwhile, the management of the diagnostic centre refused comments. A suspicious death was registered.
