Chennai: Two robbers who were involved in snatching mobiles were arrested in the Koyambedu market on Saturday. According to the police, on February 4, D Rajasekar (46) was attacked by two men in Koyambedu market at around 10 pm and his mobile phone and Rs 500 cash were robbed. The Koyambedu police who registered a case arrested Saran (23) from Thiruvallur street in Koyambedu on Saturday and remanded him under judicial custody.
Similarly, on February 8, C Ananthan (43), a worker in the market, was assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone near the seventh gate in the Koyambedu market. The Koyambedu police arrested Karthik (27) from Thiruvallur street in Koyambedu on Saturday. Police said he was involved in the previous assault on Rajasekar. He was arrested and remanded in judicial custody on Saturday.
