Hyderabad: A 31-year-old man was booked by Gopalapuram police for eve-teasing on Saturday evening. The man, identified as A. Raju, 31, a resident of Uppal, had inappropriately touched a college student from behind, police said.
The student was boarding an RTC bus near Blue Sea hotel in Secunderabad when the man felt her up on the back, Gopalapuram Sub-Inspector Koteshwar Rao said.
The locals who witnessed the act caught hold of him and called the police, said an eye-witness. “Locals roughed him and made him apologise to the student. The cops came in and took him to the police station where the girl lodged a complaint,” sources said. Basing on a complaint filed by the girl, police booked cases against A. Raju under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code.
