Hyderabad: An engineering dropout was arrested by police. Eerla Nagasai, 23, who was working as a cashier at a shopping mall, collected the card details of customers who came to him for billing, and using that, he purchased OYO gift coupons.
Police said one of the victims, Sunil Chhajar, lodged a complaint stating that without his knowledge Rs 35,000 was debited from his account. Police found that on January 17, when he made a purchase at DMart in RC Puram, he gave his debit card to Nagasai who was at the counter. While billing he noted down card details. “Using that he purchased gift coupons worth Rs 80,000 on OYO, and used it to purchase smart phones. Later, he purchased eight mobiles and sold them through olx.in," Inspector P. Ravinder said. Based on the contact numbers he provided on Olx, police traced him.
