Panicked man who left wife and bike at ‘drunk-driving’ check fixed by Hyderabad cops

Hyderabad: A panicked man took to his heels after noticing a ‘drunk driving’ check at Shamshabad late on Saturday night, leaving his wife by the side of his bike all alone.

Police said they nabbed the culprit and gave him counselling before helping the couple reach back home safe.

The traffic police at Shamshabad said, “Raju and his wife Sita were returning home from a get-together. Panicked, Raju retreated from the scene after leaving his wife by the side of his bike. A patrol vehicle detained him. He, along with his wife, was sent to the Shamshabad law and order police for counselling.”

“The officials let the couple go after making sure he was sober enough to ride the vehicle,” said the police.
