BENGALURU: A drunkard killed his wife by hitting her with a cane and a stone repeatedly for not preparing the food for him on Tuesday night in Nelamangala police limits.
The deceased, Lakshmi Narasamma, 40, was married to Venkatesh for the last 18 years. The couple stayed at Solakunte in Nelamangala. He worked as a sweeper at Thyamagondlu panchayat.
On Tuesday night, Venkatesh came home drunk and picked up a fight with his wife for not preparing dinner. He started hitting her with a cane and a rock for not giving him food. The neighbours rushed her to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead. The Nelamangala police registered a case and arrested the accused.
