Police write to GHMC, hostel may lose licence

The hostel is running for the past one year in a G+1 building and has around 60 women and students staying as paying guests.

Hyderabad: The KPHB police, who arrested V. Chandrahas, son of a hostel owner, for trying to click pictures of a woman while she was taking a bath in the hostel, had written to the GHMC for cancelling the licence of the hostel. The police found that Chandrahas wanted to click pictures of another girl in the same hostel with whom he was in love. Ch. Kushalkar, KPHB inspector, said that they will be writing a letter to the GHMC regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, GHMC officials said that they will take action against the hostel. K. Mangathayaru, deputy commissioner, Kukatpally circle, said that in the wake of this incident, they will conduct a special drive to identify hostels operating without licences.The hostel is running for the past one year in a G+1 building and has around 60 women and students staying as paying guests.

The police found that Chandrahas was in love with one of the women in the hostel. But due to some reasons, she was avoiding him for more than a week. After being caught, he confessed to the police that he thought that his girlfriend was taking a bath and tried to click her naked pictures and use them to blackmail her.
