Hyderabad: Road rage lands youth in trouble

Vishnu was arrested by the SR Nagar police and was sent to judicial remand.

Hyderabad: The SR Nagar police on Saturday arrested a youngster for allegedly assaulting a police constable in a road rage incident at Maitrivanam near Ameerpet. “Nageshwar Rao, 24, posted at the Gandhi Nagar police station, slowed down his bike to take a U-turn near Maitrivanam on Friday when Vishnu, 21, a private employee, who was right behind him, allegedly shouted at the police personnel and asked him to give way,” said the police. It led to an argument between the two and the verbal duel escalated into an assault.

“Both of them indulged in a scuffle on the road. Vishnu, who was rushing to his office was unaware of the fact that the man was a constable as he was not in his uniform,” police said. Based on a complaint, a case was booked under relevant Sections of the IPC. Vishnu was arrested by the SR Nagar police and was sent to judicial remand.
