Kalaburagi City Police Apprehends Main Accused RD Patil in KEA Scam

Kalaburagi: In a significant breakthrough, the Kalaburagi City Police apprehended RD Patil, the main accused in the KEA scam, on Friday.
Patil stands accused of facilitating candidates in the examination process through the illicit use of Bluetooth devices. Authorities had been actively pursuing Patil, who managed to evade capture around four days ago after becoming aware of the police's efforts to locate him. Undeterred by his escape, the police intensified their search, deploying 13 specialized teams to track him down.
However, the police team's efforts paid off. Patil was reportedly en route from Solapur to Karnataka when police officials successfully intercepted him at the Karnataka-Maharashtra border at 3 pm.
Following his arrest, the police confirmed that Patil would be presented before the court to face the charges brought against him.
The arrest marks a crucial development in the ongoing investigation into the KEA scam, shedding light on the alleged use of Bluetooth devices to aid candidates in cheating during examinations.
