Hyderabad: Minor assaults 5-year-old girl
Hyderabad: A 5-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 13-year-old boy in Humayun Nagar.
According to the police, she was left at the boy’s place as the families knew each other and the girl’s mother often went out of town for her work.
During one such visit to Mumbai by the girl’s mother this week, the boy took her to his terrace and sexually assaulted her, police said.
“The girl’s mother goes out of town for two to three days a week and leaves her daughter at her known acquaintance, Farhana’s place,” said police inspector of Humayun Nagar, N.L.N. Raju.
“During the girl’s recent stay earlier this week, Farhana’s son took her to the terrace when nobody was around and sexually assaulted her. Following the incident, the girl complained about having pains and upon questioning, revealed about the incident,” said the official.
The mother approached Humayun Nagar police station and registered a complaint, following which a case was booked under relevant Sections of the IPC and PoCSO Act and an investigation was launched.
