Bengaluru: Two bike thieves arrested

According to police, the duo was earlier involved in bike thefts and they were stealing a bike in Owner's Layout in Kasuvanahalli.

Bengaluru: The Bellandur police have arrested two miscreants who were trying to steal bikes parked in front of a house in Kasuvanahalli. They had tried to resist arrest, but were overpowered by policemen.

The accused, Manjunath (19) and Raghavendra (21), are siblings and residents of Jinnasandra near Wipro.

According to police, the duo was earlier involved in bike thefts and they were stealing a bike in Owner's Layout in Kasuvanahalli.

Bellandur police on night rounds got a tip off and the team headed to the spot. As the policemen went to arrest them, the duo tried to attack the cops with knives, but the police overpowered and arrested them.

Bellandur police inspector Victor Simon said the duo targeted only Bajaj Pulsar bikes and sold them to make quick money.

He said with this arrest the police have solved three bike theft

cases.
