Tiruchy: The District fast track Mahila court convicted and sentenced a 51-year-old teacher to undergo five years imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor girl here on Friday. According to the prosecution, the accused Roshan of Kamaraj Nagar sexually assaulted the girl in 2016. Based on the girl’s parent’s complaint, he was arrested him and case was filed against him before the Mahila court. The Judge convicted and sentenced the accused to undergo five years imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs 1,000 on him.
