Hyderabad: A 23-year-old nurse working at PVP Eye Hospital committed suicide due to severe stomach ache. Police said the nurse, A. Aparna, was earlier an inmate of the state home at Yousufguda.
Aparna was an orphan when she was admitted to the state home at Yousufguda around 10 years ago. She continued studies and completed nursing. Later, she shifted to the working women’s hostel at Begumpet and started working as a nurse at the L.V. Prasad Eye Hospital.
Police said that she was suffering from severe stomach ache since a few days. Some days ago when one of her friends phoned her to know the reason for her absence from work she told her about her pain and it was recorded on her mobile phone.
On Thursday, while she was alone at the hostel, she consumed poison and committed suicide. Police found the empty bottle of the poison.
“A suspicious death case was registered. Apart from the empty bottle we did not get any other clues,” Begumpet SI D. Krishnaiah said. The body was handed over to her relatives after post-mortem.
