Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old girl was stabbed to death by four youths in Ballia district after she resisted their attempts to molest her.
The victim, Ragini Dubey, who was studying Class XII, was on her way to school on Tuesday when she was accosted by four youths, including the son of the head of the Shankarpur village.
The youths began to misbehave with her, kicked her from her cycle and when Ragini tried to run away, they stabbed her repeatedly.
The four assailants escaped after the incident even as onlookers stood dazed by the turn of events. The girl belonged to Bajaha village and was studying at a private school. The village head’s son has been arrested by the police. Search is on for the others.
