Hyderabad: Several students who come to the University of Hyderabad (UoH) for admission are facing problems because of the complicated online process. Students who have been called for admission to various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses are confused.
Mehjabin S., a student from Kerala said, “I expected the admission to be a smooth process but everything is so confusing. I cancelled my flight tickets because my hostel application was under process and now it is showing that my form has been rejected even though I have submitted all required documents.”
Parents complained that the University does not providing clear information about the admission process. Mr Pradeep S., a parent said, “I am a government servant and am wasting my leave because of the slow process. I cancelled my train ticket and now there is no berth on the train for some days. The University does not provide a guest house and I am spending a lot of money on hotel accommodation.”
Many newcomers complained that there is no cash payment option for hostel fees and those who do not have debit/ credit cards are begging others to ensure their payment. University officials said, “We have installed a cash counter at the venue where one can go and deposit the fee.”
