Hyderabad: Burglars break into two houses

While the other victim has yet to ascertain the value of the property lost after they return.

Hyderabad: Burglars made away with huge property from two neighbouring houses at Nagarguda village in Shabad mandal on Sunday night, when the families living in both the houses went for a pilgrimage. One of the victims lost Rs 25,000 in cash and two tolas of gold, while the other victim has yet to ascertain the value of the property lost after they return.

According to Shabad sub-inspector M. Ravi Kumar, one of the victims, A. Pavan Kumar (24) has been to Srisailam along with his friends on July 5 after dropping his mother and wife at his sister’s house in Vikarabad. At 12.30 am, he returned home and saw that the lock of the main door was broken. When he checked, he found that about Rs 25,000 cash and two tolas of gold kept in an almirah were missing.

Pavan also found that the lock of his neighbour’s house, occupied by one Satyanarayana and family, was also broken, with the doors open and property looted.

Mr Kumar said that Satyanarayana along with his wife and kids had been to Tirupati on July 4, and would return on Tuesday. Only then, the value property lost from their house would be ascertained. A case has been registered in both the instances and the investigation was on, the officer said.
