Visakhapatnam: A minor boy and two others have been detained by Srikakulam police in connection with the rape of a two-year-old girl under Vajrapukotturu police station limits in Srikakulam district. The girl was allegedly raped by a 14-year-old boy, a Class-IX student, in a village in Srikakulam district on June 5 evening.
The police investigation into the case revealed that the boys used to watch pornography. Kasibugga DSP B. Prasada Rao said, “Our investigation has revealed that a shepherd, K. Mallesh, has been visiting the Janatha mobile store and internet centre in Kasibugga to download porn videos on his mobiles. Mallesh used to give his mobile phone to the minor and another boy to watch the porn videos. Due to regular access to pornography, the boy was influenced and he allegedly raped the girl, Prasada Rao added.
The police arrested Mallesh and one S. Saiprakash, an employee in the store.
