Hyderabad: The police arrested three persons on Monday for using a banned chemical for ripening mangoes. The cops seized packets containing illegal ripeners from them. The arrested suspects are Mohd Feroz, Nissar Ali and Ghouse.
“They were using chemicals like carbide and China-made ripeners,” said police officer Venkat Ram Reddy. The police raided three godowns, apprehended the trio and handed them over, along with the packets, to respective police stations.
