Hyderabad: A 23-year-old known was arrested for burglary by the South Zone Police. The police recovered 12 tolas of gold worth about '3.5 lakh from his possession.
The accused, Sk. Shahrukh, an auto-rickshaw driver from Chaderghat, has been involved in 22 burglaries in the past. He was released from jail in less than two months ago.
“The habitual burglar has been involved in over 22 cases in Hyderabad. He started committing crimes in 2011 when he was a minor. He has been jailed several times but has never changed his criminal behaviour,” said S. Chaitanya Kumar, the Additional DCP of the Commissioner’s Task Force. The offender and the property recovered from him were handed over to the Bahadhurpura police.
