Hyderabad: Thieves broke into two locked flats in Madinaguda and stole valuables worth Rs 4.5 lakh from a flat on Saturday midnight. The the residents were away. Ms Ahalya, 52, a housewife, staying at the Sri Surya Residency in Marutinagar, locked her flat on Saturday night, and went to a hospital in Somajiguda to help her daughter who was undergoing treatment. Her neighbour Asif’s flat was also locked. On Sunday morning, when Ahalya returned, she found the kitchen door open and 15 tola gold kept in the bedroom missing. Police said the thieves broke into Asif's house too, but nothing was taken.
