Hyderabad: Chain snatching duo held
Hyderabad: CCTVs helped the police to nab a chainsnatcher duo who allegedly robbed a school teacher in Dabeerpura on Thursday. Omer and Talha who were riding a bike snatched the rolled gold chain of the lady teacher and fled away.
South zone DCP V. Satyanarayana said that Md Talha, 23, from the Old city had returned from Saudi Arabia a month ago. He decided to snatch chainsand roped in his childhood friend Omer Bin Abed, a 21- year-old bookseller.“They ride their bike at high speed till they reach their target, slow down, snatch jewellery and flee at very high speed," Mr Satyanarayana Said.
On Thursday, the duo snatched the chain of a school teacher who was retuning home school, but the chain was a rolled gold one. Based on CCTV footage and other clues, police nabbed Omer and Talha on Saturday. Police found that Omer was earlier arrested at Bhavaninagar in an attempt to murder and bike theft case. Police recovered a bike and an artificial chain from them. They were sent to judicial remand.
