Bengaluru: Rowdy murdered by relatives

The police have arrested six people in this connection.

Bengaluru: A rowdy sheeter was murdered by his relatives over a financial dispute in Mahalakshmi Layout police station limits on Wednesday night. The police have arrested six people in this connection.

The deceased has been identified as Poultry Raju, 32, a resident of Kirloskar Colony near West of Chord Road. Among the six arrested Mahesh, Girish, Ganesh and Kiran are Raju's relatives.

According to the police, Raju, who was in an inebriated state, picked up a quarrel with the accused persons over a financial dispute on Wednesday midnight. Following a heated argument, the accused killied him by smashing his head with a boulder. The accused were nabbed immediately after the incident.

"Raju was involved in more than 10 cases, including attempt to murder, dacoity and extortion. A rowdy sheet was opened against him in 2014. He was unemployed and a drunkard.” the police added.
