KASARGOD: Two people were arrested in connection with the murder of Muslim Youth League worker Abdul Khader on Thursday. Ahmed Naseer (35) of Jabarikkulam, Muthalappara and Muhammed Sali (25) of Muliyar were arrested by Adhur Inspector Sibi Thomas. Both of them were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate court, Kasargod. Abdul Khader (19) was stabbed to death on December 1 allegedly following verbal clashes over a football match held in Mooladakkam.
According to police, school children in Mooladakkam play football in a ground nearby and allegedly some elders interfered and beat up the children. Tension prevailed in the area for the past few days. Following the incident, a group from Povval and another from Bovikkanam were engaged in verbal clashes which led to the stabbing.
