Telangana: 5 railway robbers picked up, 90 tola gold seized

Five persons, including a woman, were picked up by the railway police at Kazipet and Ramagundam railway stations on Wednesday.

Hyderabad: Five persons, including a woman, were picked up by the railway police at Kazipet and Ramagundam railway stations on Wednesday. The accused, who belong to Solapur district in Maharashtra, have been committing crimes on running trains at Kazipet, Mancherial, Dornakal and Warangal since the past one year. According to the police, the woman strikes friendship with co-passengers to divert their attention.

“The gang stole gold from the bags of passengers and store it at a rented house at Ramagundam. The seized items include gold ornaments worth 90 tola and cash worth Rs 90,000,” said S. Rajendera Prasad, SP. The accused were identified as Shoba Deepak Kale, 22, Dhanraj Hari Kale, 28, Kishore Uddav Kale, 20, Bhagavan Das Pavar, 38 and Mahadev Ashok Kale, 28. They were booked under Section 379 of the IPC and were produced in the court.
