KAKINADA: Thieves broke into the house of B.V.V. Satyanarayana in Kakinada and stole Rs 5.50 lakhs worth of gold ornaments, cash, and other valuables on Friday.
Satyanarayana's family had gone to his son's wedding in Chodavaram village in Ramachandrapuram mandal on Thursday night. When they returned home on Friday morning, they found that the kitchen room windows had been broken and the valuables were missing.
The stolen items include gold necklaces, bangles, earrings, and rings, as well as Rs 1.50 lakh cash. Satyanarayana has lodged a complaint with the Samalkot police station. Circle inspector K. Durga Prasad has registered a case and is investigating.
