Rayagada: The Odisha police on Monday seized the body of a Class V student of Parikshita residential primary school in Ramnaguda block of Odisha’s Rayagada district. The body was found hanging inside the school premises. The deceased was identified as Narendra Mishal, hailing from Penekam village near the school. According to sources, Mishal took his dinner Sunday night and went to bed along with his friends. However, the inmates found him hanging in the room on Monday morning.
On being informed about the incident, Gunupur police reached the spot and seized the body. Police have started investigation into the incident. Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, it has been alleged that he committed suicide by hanging self. “We have seized the body and sent it for autopsy. A case of unnatural death has been registered. The police is probing under which circumstances the boy died,” said Y. Jgannath Rao, sub-divisional police officer.
