Bengaluru: In what is suspected to be a murder for gain, a 56-year-old home alone woman was found murdered at her residence in Subramanya Layout in Rammurthy Nagar police limits on Monday afternoon.
Rs 2 lakh cash and three gold chains were allegedly stolen from the house. The police and sniffer dog and forensic squads rushed to the spot. The deceased, Bhadrunisa, was a widower and mother of Imam, a small-time businessman. She was staying with her son, daughter-in-law who works at a Montessori and three grandchildren.
Bhadrusina’s son and daughter-in-law were at work, while her grandchildren were in school when she was murdered, between 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, the police said.
